looks good, is that a series 4/5 gearbox behind the motor?? if it is I would be looking at using a series6/7/8 box, as I'ave used series 5 boxs, & have poped 3 boxs in 5,500 miles. You may want to think about some form of roll bar---as my Convertable the 20b bends the car up when the turbos start make good boost.
nice looking convert.

There's almost no difference in the strength of s5 turbo and FD trannies. Theya re almost identical guts, just in different cases. Plus, the fd tranny will not bolt in to an FC without extensive fabricating.

Cheers for that, saves me the trouble of go down that path , as the series 5 box I'm running now has started to make nasty sounds, what box would you run?? or should I do a full rebuild on a series 5 box, instead of just throwing half used ones at it.

Well, If I had the money, Id go with an HKS or greddy 6 dogmisison for about $5,000 US. Or, if funds are tight, go with an OS giken gearset. They have hardened input shafts and gears. both options use stock tranny cases too
