Another option open to me is e99. I can get a 200 litre drum of it for around $380. If it solves my hydro carbon and CO problem, it will be worth it. It should address both...

The other 'problem' I have is I'm running premix at 1:100. That oil doesn't burn clean, but I can;t run without it unless I out the car on a trailer and toe it to the inspection site. A 45 minute drive without lubrication is not something I am willing to risk on an engine of this calibre and cost.
Have just enough fuel to get you to that test.. and bring 10 gals to add once u get there.. plus an air pump and you may be in good shape.. if it were me I would wire up 2 rx8 air pumps for good measure..

Just don't forget the premix when you leave and maybe jump the fuel pump to run with the car off to mix the oil around for 10 mins or so

Thanks mate. Appreciate the info. I honestly had no idea the RX8 ran an air pump. I honestly haven't paid much attention to the 8 as I don't really like the looks of them - or the power delivery. I have seen the results of adding a super though, which makes a wonderful difference - but the looks to me are just a bit too much Mazda 6 for my liking. No wow factor like the RX7 family were. I am excited about the new RX7's though.

I've been looking at a few electric pumps since reading your message. I'm sure I'll find something that will fit - now that I know there are decent pumps out there that don;t need a belt to drive them. Thanks again for your comment
Cheers
