Talking My new baby... (20B)

Well, here is my new 20B that I picked up today. Gotta love the look of a virgin motor!!! What should I do to it first??? Any good ideas? Let me know.

Is this the front clip thats in the for sale section of the fourm for 3500? If so then damn I wanted it, but good luck. Rip the motor out and tear a extended port into it along with a rebuild

No, it is a different one. I bought the full front clip. It only has 10k - 15k on it. Shouldn't need a rebuild yet. I was just gonna install it and run it for a while and see how it does. Anybody know what the auto tranny's are like from the Cosmo? What horsepower is the auto good up to? Anybody know? I wanted the auto trans cause I am also doing a RHD vehicle. Need to get used to the RHD part of it and not worry about shifting yet... It is mostly gonna be a show vehicle anyway.

I guess it's strong. It needs the computer or some looped circuits to work. Fellow forum user now has done it.

It has the computer, dash, harness and everything from the drivers seat up, all of which I am going to use. Seems like everything should be there for it to work.

RHD isint all that hard to learn manual on. Im in the military and was blessed with being stationed in Japan for 2 years. thats where i learned how to drive a manual on a rhd car. when i came back to the states i jumped right into another manual. there wasnt much of a difference. the H pattern is still the same. all the gears are in the same spots they dont move. u just switch hands. i feel its easyer on a rhd personally. Im right handed and got my right hand on the steering wheel and feels more comfortable for me. But i would say if u do the conversion to go manual.

Best of luck on you conversion

Um... nice assumption that he is converting it to RHD. It's going in a 4-Runner I believe.
