You can commanly buy a used one from an engine importer for about $2200-$3800 US. Most say that the engines have under 50,000 miles on them, and some companies will give you a "start up gurantee" for whatever that's worth.
This is a complete 20B engine with all accessories, and half wiring harness. Basically they just chop off the wiring harness to the car, un bolt the engine, chop miscellaneous wires/hoses hindering removal and pull it out in one piece.
You never really know what you are getting though.

I emailed Nippon Motors www.nippon-motors.com which is a fairly popular and good reuptable place to get j-specs, and they quoted me $2850 for a 20B.
