Cost of 91 N/A to 20B
Hey, any of you FC 20B conversions out there who have a guesstimate of how much they spent on their convo? Or any guesses as to how cheap it could be done?
Thanks,
Josh

The main thing to understand is there isn't a bolt-on kit to install a 20B in an FC, so like any other custom car, you will have to figure it out yourself, and your cost will depend on how you build it. This is a very labor-intensive and expensive project. Please read the posts in this section, as your question has come up several times now. Many people have discussed their actual and proposed projects here, so feel free to sift through all of the information.
I wouldn't recommend starting with the NA. The NA hood won't work unless you lower the engine or make a custom intake manifold, and the NA drivetrain will not last long. Sell the NA and buy a TII with a blown engine for $500.
A ghetto 20B conversion is about $8,000-10,000 if you do all of the work yourself and use a junkyard engine that will make about 250hp to the wheels. A professional conversion is about $35,000, and will make 500-600hp. Depending on your skills and access to a professional auto shop and fabricating equipment, it will cost you somewhere between these amounts. If your car already has lots of modifications like a high-performance clutch, standalone EMS, FMIC, etc., the cost will be less.

My Swap cost me $20,000 cdn. with no labour cost because my dad did everthing and all the part were cost price. So if you can't do much yourself you better have the money.
My car is a S5 NA with TII drivetrian, brakes, hood, etc.
I think it would be cheaper to buy a TII and do the swap.
