That thing is a beast and very well sorted out. I love the fact that it's just a street port. I always felt that going bridge was unnecessary if you ported the engine correctly and matched the turbo for your specific rpm power bands. I mean why rev to the stratosphere when it's unnecessary. Not only does it prolong the 20b's life but like you already said, you save some gas as well. I can't believe how quiet it is at WOT. Would you mind telling us what the exhaust consist of? I've never heard a rotary race car sound that tamed.
Would love to see it go around the Nurburgring.

Our street cars use the same basis of mufflers and they all are police freindly.
Yes Nurburgring would be the ultimate track for this beast!

We have yet to have a problem with deflection or strength using a custom steel seal.
All of our other 20b cars are using steel seals and are on a similar power level as this engine. As a matter of fact we have a gt42r street car that makes more power than this car and he is using conventional seals.

Thanks for the props but the fit and finish is all the owner Wouter Bouman! All that we are responsible for is the HP.
Rear dif is now an 8.8 cobra irs and the trans is a Jerico dog 5 speed. The car is now 2600lbs and was 2730 last year.
Should have some great video footage after the weekend.

Hello, nice project! Is this weight of 2600 without driver?

Yes 2600 without the driver. Just got back from the indy and finished second due to a bump from a gtp4 car and cost us the race. Then when we finished we learned that the officials tacked on another 30 second penalty for early contact with another car. This caused us to finish 4th in the end.
Great weekend but the brakes need some more sorting but the 20b dominated with hp down the straights. The win went to a ls2 powered fd3s.
Will try and get the video up soon.

Excellent power numbers, your video editing and the way it was thought out for the music in the beginning along with the black and white pictures really made the car just that much more for me! If the car's numbers weren't impressive enough.... I really just about died laughing watching the track scenes. ( 5:13-5:20 priceless lol) that car just left everything else in the dust. I almost wondered if the other racers were really competing for second place from the beginning as first place was obviously already taken. haha

It is a 1.15 gtx42r . For 2012 we are off to the Rose Cup race in Portland to take on the Trans Am cars. We will be running a 355/ 650 18 rear tire for better suspension geometry, some new brake compounds, and a new oil cooler. We've changed all the fluids and bought some race gas. Thats about it.
I started the car yesterday after sitting for five months . It ran perfect instantly ! For 2011 videos search "wouter b 2011" on youtube.
Speed based boost is in the works to make the rear tires last the race.

What class is it that you run exactly? Just wondering. It's nice to see the rotaries holding up against the modern v8's. What kind of oil, and water temps are you seeing? Nice looking car man, keep us updated on those race results. I always like hearing rotaries keeping v8's on their toes.
