Not only does it prolong the 20b's life but like you already said, you save some gas as well. I can't believe how quiet it is at WOT. Would you mind telling us what the exhaust consist of? I've never heard a rotary race car sound that tamed.

Would love to see it go around the Nurburgring.
Very well said. The only high rpm application would be if you were a drag car or na. This car needs the horsepower and torque to play with the trans am cars. And at our local track there is a 92db noise limit and we have constructed a twin 4 inch magnaflow cylindrical muffler system. Works very well and performs excellent.

Our street cars use the same basis of mufflers and they all are police freindly.

Yes Nurburgring would be the ultimate track for this beast!

What type of suspension are you running if you don't mind? I like how it comes out of the corners, despite the power.

Penski and not sure the model. And it comes out the corners well due to the 370 tires it rolls with!

It's amazing that twin 4" Magnaflows are that quiet. I have a single 4" Magnaflow with a custom cutout set-up I built that keeps mine quiet also.

Everybody please reread these two statements. I can't tell you how many people I get calling who say they want a BP or HBP engine with NRS seals simply because they read that it's the best way to go somewhere on this forum. Ceramic seals have a purpose as does a BP engine, neither of which really applies to street car 99% of the time.

Should have some great video footage after the weekend.

Hello, nice project! Is this weight of 2600 without driver?

Yes 2600 without the driver. Just got back from the indy and finished second due to a bump from a gtp4 car and cost us the race. Then when we finished we learned that the officials tacked on another 30 second penalty for early contact with another car. This caused us to finish 4th in the end.

Great weekend but the brakes need some more sorting but the 20b dominated with hp down the straights. The win went to a ls2 powered fd3s.

Will try and get the video up soon.

Excellent power numbers, your video editing and the way it was thought out for the music in the beginning along with the black and white pictures really made the car just that much more for me! If the car's numbers weren't impressive enough.... I really just about died laughing watching the track scenes. ( 5:13-5:20 priceless lol) that car just left everything else in the dust. I almost wondered if the other racers were really competing for second place from the beginning as first place was obviously already taken. haha

It is a 1.15 gtx42r . For 2012 we are off to the Rose Cup race in Portland to take on the Trans Am cars. We will be running a 355/ 650 18 rear tire for better suspension geometry, some new brake compounds, and a new oil cooler. We've changed all the fluids and bought some race gas. Thats about it.
I started the car yesterday after sitting for five months . It ran perfect instantly ! For 2011 videos search "wouter b 2011" on youtube.
Speed based boost is in the works to make the rear tires last the race.

What class is it that you run exactly? Just wondering. It's nice to see the rotaries holding up against the modern v8's. What kind of oil, and water temps are you seeing? Nice looking car man, keep us updated on those race results. I always like hearing rotaries keeping v8's on their toes.

That's one incredible setup. What series will you be racing in? That kind of power would be too much fun on a road course. Penkse suspension is by far one of the best companies btw, that's one very cool car!

Were the rear fender flares just trimmed to create the large vents behind the door? Or can they be purchased like that?
