20b Xcessive lower intake manifold vs stock question

I have a question to you guys that have the 20b Xcessive lower intake manifold.
The thing i need an answer to is if the xcessive lower LIM moves the UIM forward or backward compered to the stock one?
I had the xcessive 13b LIM on my 13b and it moved the UIM forward. I'am planing to move my 20b as far back as possible so i need to know if it moves the UIM.
posting a picture of the two.

It sits lower if you buy the low profile one, but doesn't move it forward or backward

The lower the lim sits, the more room the uim has around the tranny tunnel "since the tunnel tappers back".

You read my mind t-von,
I was hoping to get the engine just behind the steering rack so i can lower it to the same higth the stock 13b is sitting.
So the 38mm lower xcessive intake will help since the firewall tapers back around the tunnel like you say.
I have been looking at your thread and you must have moved the engine even further back?
If my mesurements are correct i have to move the engine back 13cm to clear the rack.

My engine sits 1/8" behind the rack and 2" lower than the factory 13b. It's so low that the oil outlet fitting on the front cover is 1/4" above the rack U mount straps.

Tvon and stickmantijuana,
If you dont mind sharing, What is the drivetrain angle on your setups? Would you guys know how many degrees back the stock rx8 and rx7 drivetrains are aligned?

I tried to keep it at 3-5 degrees. Truth is, I don't think it matters. It would depend on your chassis strength and the more importantly how you measure it. It's hard to measure it. The casings aren't square. OEM rubber coated frame is hard to get straight edge on. Just eyeball it straight using stock mounting holes as index. If you need that 5hp extra that would come from the perfect chassis flex at particular torque output which would line up your transmission and differential perfectly, just turn up the boost half a psi.

I have no idea also. Now considering that I'm using a shortened PPF, my engine is more level than the factory 13b since it sits lower in the engine bay. Right now my engine is out of the car as I'm doing more test fitting of my T56 and building the shifter mount.

Driveline angle or drive shaft working angle?

Driveline angle as a whole. It's a general question of engine positioning vs chassis room as the taper in the back on the rx8 make it extra interesting when putting a 20b.
