20b test fit in my FD (pics)
I finally got around to test fitting the engine. Auto Illusions still has my exhaust manifold, so I didn't test fit the turbo in the pics. I used a subframe and solid engine mounts made by 20B 3rd Gen. It fit great!

I paid $3000 for everything I needed out of the cosmo front cut, because my friend decided he didn't want to do the swap, so I kind of lucked out with that. I forget who imported it for him.
I wish I would have had the turbo kit to try on in the pictures. I haven't tried it on inside the engine bay yet, just while my engine was sitting on the work bench. I will post them up as soon as I get the exhaust manifold back.
On a funny side note, my stupid self made a plate in the back of the car where the spare tire well used to be to hold my fuel cell... out of galvanized steel. I didn't realize it was galvanized, so I just welded it like normal. WOW was I sick that night. Damn galvanized poisoning.
BTW, does anybody have an 8 point roll cage installed? I'm having trouble clearing my seats with the two front bars. They are hitting the seats by about 3/4 of an inch and I can't move the bars over any more, because they will hit the door panels! Does anybody have any thoughts about this? Should I maybe use a thinner bar? I don't want it to make it a weak point though. Stupid car.

hmmm, looks like it could go back a couple inchs, but i guess that is just where the stock tranny bolts up
What turbo are you going with? Saw earlier that it is stock port. Still tons of power without any porting at all. but the stock twins are garbage unless theyre modified themselves.
On stock twins you're running about 3psi by redline
But man, you need to get that Fram off of there. poor 20b haha

I have an Innovative GT80R BB that I'm going to be running. After buying all the turbo "kit" stuff I ran out of money, so it will be keeping the stock ports for now, haha. It shouldn't move very much when the tranny gets bolted up, because I have solid engine mounts
