No problem, it's not something that you can easily search. Also, entitling threads with something like "question" DOES NOT help with searches.

It is called the "20B Race" engine. Yes, you can still buy the parts, but I'm not sure about being able to buy a complete engine. Back in the late 80's and early 90's the first 20B Race engines cost about $42,000. I'm sure you can get them for less now, but I am not allowed to quote Mazdaspeed prices. If you want prices, you will need to join the Mazdaspeed Racing Support Program, which is really pretty easy because autocross, rally, and other club events count for your two required events. This support program will allow you to browse their online catalog, or call directly for pricing and availibility, as well as give you special pricing on lots of parts goodies from Mazdaspeed. Note that the Contingency Awards Program is a separate program, and is not required.

Yes, a race car that requires a 20B Race engine is probably going to cost somewhere between $50,000 and $500,000, not including the extra costs for spare parts, tires and brakes, entry fees, crew, truck and trailer, other equipment, room and board, etc. This level of racing is for the rich.

I might be wrong here...but i think he is talking about this "20B Racing Engine"
20B - Racing engine...1/4th down the page... http://cp_www.tripod.com/rotary/pg20.htm

This engine is currently (1997) sold by both Mazdaspeed in Japan and Mazda Motorsports in the USA, both of which are officially part of Mazda. At first I presumed this was a racing engine based on the production 20B. However on comparing the photos of the race 20B and the race 13G, plus the Mazda catalogs list this engine as using rotor housings with grooves for the water seals, I think it is still a 13G they are selling.
Also the power output and torque figures are identical (same RPM), and the weight/dimensions are almost the same.
(The grooves for the water seals were moved from the rotor housings to the side housings when the "2nd generation" RX7 (FC3S) was released in 1986)

20B Racing Engine specifications Origin Possibly same as 13G race engine, but not certain.
Capacity 654cc x 3 rotors = 1962cc
Compression ratio Unknown (But 13G is 9.4:1)
Induction Naturally aspirated peripheral port, electronic fuel injection (2 injectors per rotor)
Exhaust Peripheral Exhaust Port
Ignition Distributorless CDI ignition (2 plugs/rotor)
Power/RPM 450ps@8500rpm
Torque/RPM 40kgm@8000rpm
Max RPM Unknown (But 13G is 9500 RPM)
Dimensions Length 675mm Width 549mm Height 520mm
Weight 143kg
Special Features Dry sump

^ Well, I searched and searched on mazda motorsports website, and it appears that they don't sell the engine as a complete package any more, in case anyone was planning on going up to their local mazdaspeed dealership anytime soon...

I own a full competition road racing RX-7 gen3 fiberglass body. It has a 20B engine which consists of a Cosmo crank,13Bperiphal port housings,13Grotors with ceramic apex seals,Mazda comp.dry sump,Motec fully programable fuel injection and ignition. Is there any interest in purchasing the car for $45,000.00?
