Yes, Mazda Motorsports sells 20B non-turbo race engine parts to sponsored racers. I'm not sure if they still sell the complete engine. Back in the late 80's the complete engine sold for about $42,000, but it's probably less than that now.

im no 20b pro, but im pretty sure buying a cosmo front clip, having it shipped, making a custom non-turbo header, and running a standalone (instead of the cosmo ecu, which im not even sure can be made to work in an fc) will be a heluva lot cheaper than 42,000.

i think ReTed just work on a project similar to this, might want to ask him for some details. IIRC they came very close to the twin turbo versions output without the turbos just by running a well tuned standalone ems on the stock ports (with the needed custom intake and exhaust mani's).

Ted's engine had the stock intake manifolds. It was a custom header, though.

ah true, but they did need to rig up a snorkel and filter in place of the front mount but thats not much of a challenge.

Yes, but that was not the question.
