I have a video of it running outside the show. Only so much you can see from that without a test drive or dyno run but it was very impressive! Also it wast driven across country and back for the show! Is that reliable enough for you.

Did he happen to mention what tranny he is using. I know that company he was using to upgrade the Rx8 tranny was having problems. Also, I don't think the Fd tranny could withstand that much power(even on a dyno).

auto illusion / good choice, thats who i was talkin about, hes going to be doing my engine also. they got some bad *** sevens ,you might hit 1300hp they know what there doing good company though they dont get that much credit for what they deserve .

The car is his, but it was built to sell. Not for personal use. It would be interesting to talk with someone that had 20B work done through him and paid for it!
I got my intake back and it wasn't done as promised. I sent it back to have it cleaned up and polished, i will let you know how it comes out!

So who is lying here? Marcos is now claiming the car as 1500 miles on it in his EBAY ad here:

I am a loss for words. I believe the modified magazine shoot was in vegas! That is what he told me. 800 HP seems close as he stated that the car makes 1025 at the wheels but 1500 miles? The car is clean though and well built.

How did the guy with the red FD get on in the end with Marcos after the other half of MVA legged it? A lot of scary stuff has been posted on this forum about Marcos' previuos business dealings; whether it was his partner or not, I'd have serious misgivings about giving him $30K... From what I recall he talked a lot of ***** about the 20B FD swap, making out how trick his install was when in actual fact it was a simple back plate swap in essence...

i know it has a lot to do with tunning ,but remember a couple of years ago ,everyone was afraid of boosting more than 13psi on a 2-rotor ,look where they are now
i mean i ran 20 psi on pump gas here with a 5 deg split on trailing ,and they told me it couldn`t be done (back in the 2-rotor days) and yes i know that 3-rotor is a whole different ball game ,but like stated previously on this thread there aren`t a lot of high boosting 3-rotors around right ??

Well, ultimately I lost that money. I had to start over again.
With regards to the RX8; it was put on a trailor to SevenStock. It wasn't 100% complete at the time, and that is why it really didn't run.
The dyno runs on the RX8 were the following:
14 PSI = 630.9
24 PSI = ~850 rwhp
32 PSI = Over 1k.
That was done on a T80 turbo.

Im suprised to to see that anyone is bringing up the name Acosta to have work done to their car. Hell i don't know the whole story (don't want to know either) but based on what has gone on in the forums plus what is posted in the magazine, there is just way too many discrepencys. I noticed Evil asking a question but yet no one has chimed in with an answer...hmm why is that?
I know the only way i would get a car from him, is he would have to pay me to take it.

Plus in the dragracing world none of his creations ever back up his horsepower claims. At least if I were making a claim about power I would show the dyno sheet plus I know it would help in the decision to buy the car if the dyno sheet was part of the advertisment.
He's making all kinds of 9 sec claims on the rx-8 forum about his rx-8.
