20B - Need your input

I am on a business trip and met up with a street racer I know in Singapore... Seems he has connections with his buddies in Malaysia that will pull and ship 20B's or 13B rew's to me back in the states. If I could get these for cheap, what would be the reasonable (you couldn't walk away from) price????

I am just trying to work out the deal now, so I need some serious input. I am thinking I could a 20B for less than $2000 (not shipped of course). I have some ideas about shipping too....

Anyway, I need to hear some ideas before I chase this any further...

I would be very careful doing large transactions with people from those countries.
There's a scam going around where idiots from Singapore or Malaysia are soliciting shops for 5 to 10 units of very experience equipment with stolen credit cards.
They insist on FedEx shipping and somehow get the package to go through even if you try and cancel it.

yup. happened to a buddy of mine. Well, not the exact same scam, but what happened was my buddy sold his t88 on ebay, and the guy paid with a money order from malaysia or some crap. Once the money order was cashed, he shipped the turbo. but, somehow, the funds got pulled back because it was fraudulent or it was paid with stolen money or something. He called fedex, and got the turbine returned. Almost got ripped.

Here's the deal.... I will have a buddy on that side of the pond sending me the parts. Otherwise, you are right... pretty risky...

Wanted to know what I should be buying these at, if I can get it worked out...

If you trust them, by all means go for it.
It becomes like any other transaction...you give money; you receive goods.
Good luck!
