MI Is a 20B necessary looking for 400-600hp?

I'm pretty serious in buying an rx7 turbo engine longblock.

I've got an RX8, What do you have to work with? I'm trying to line up a rx7 turbo engine and nitrous/tune it. tear down the rx8 engine sometime, but that's not relevant.

I want to bridgeport the engine. What is the best RX8 setup?

Do I have to 20B for 400-600hp?

Not too many people are familiar with the rx8 chassis here. You should ask Rx8 specific questions over at the Rx8club forum. As far as power, either engine will make the power. 13b will need additional safety adds to make it reliable long term at 400+ hp (water injection, ect) while 20b can make the power easy and be far less stressed while doing it. If you don't know how to do the work yourself, 20b option is gonna be the most expensive route.

There is room for it.
I want 22-26psi from the turbo.

I have a renesis want to make a 20B from the engine with 69k and these 2 turbo rotors 3mm already good rotors I think were just bought from this forum. What are the tools and parts needed for an eccentric shaft creation for this 20B Turbo design? Goal is 400-600hp ++

To be honest its seems like your trying to go about this the hard way.

Make a D as to wither or not you are going 20b, if you go 20b your options are short or long block (long block = factory 20b) if you go for a short block see these guys Rotary Parts | Precision Engeneering

They do kits for triple rotors and up, as it has been said before 20b is expensive....very expensive way to go

He speaks the truth, I am probably in for $30k this far and no where near done. I am planning for more than double that by the time it's all said and done.

Choose wisely and stay the course.

Cheers,
Steven

I understand your trying to save some money reusing existing rotary parts but, if you try to make a 2 or 3 rotor with Renesis plates, housings, and older turbo rotary rotors, your asking for trouble. The older rotors side seals aren't designed to handle the heat from the side exhaust port. Plus you run the risk of burning up the outer control oil seal because there won't be that outer scraper ring to protect it from heat. Renesis rotors are fine in the older PP exhaust engines but not the other way around. Also turboing the Renesis isn't a very good idea because the side seals can barely take the heat in NA form plus the compression ratio is too high to make that kind of power reliably.
