20b intermediate plate metallurgy

Does anyone know the exact type of metal that MAZDA used for the fat intermediate plate? I need to repair one and need to know the exact type of metal. Any help would be appreciated.

You're repairing it by welding, I'm assuming? If so, don't you just basically need a P-number to go with? For instance, if SA-510 and SA-512 are both P-1, then either would work. I don't see why you'd need the exact alloy.

I'm not trying to sound like a know-it-all, I'm actually asking because I want to know.

Yes, I need to weld on it. I need enough info so the welder will know what metal to use. Thanks.
