You might loose 10% power by not having the trailing at all, but your not going to loose 10% power by not having a CDI on the trailing.

The only reason I can see doing a system this complex and costly is if your racing in a class or series so competitive, that you need every little bit of HP you can manage no matter how much it costs. Even if the CDI on trailing gets you an extra 10 HP (doubt it) thats a hell of allot of money for 10 HP.

Sometimes when a lot of coils are involved I just splice both positives together. It can only perform better having two wires supply the power to the coils.

Thanks for chiming in crispeed! So I'll make a mini harness splicing the two brown/orange together then splitting into 3.

Does the rest of the wiring look correct?

Yeah, that's what we did too...
More the merrier.
We spliced both into a single connection and then split it out to all 3 coils.
Don't hurt...

Sweet. Thanks for the replies, I should have this all installed by the weekend. Sucks that I will need new spark plug wires too!

Oh, and one last question; are the correct settings for this:

Rising Edge
Cosntant Duty - 50%
Direct Fire

This is based on my searching/reading...please advise!

i am having a similar problem with my microtech setup but at much lower boost
i am running a ltx12 plus MSD blaster coils , but i can`t even get 8psi of boost
@ 8psi i start getting break up at around 5500 RPM
Spoke to jon from microtech , he said this setup should be able to run up to 25 psi no problem
cant seem to figure this one out anyone care to chime in ?
something is wrong i know , i should be able to run 8psi no problem right?

Make sure the motor is properly grounded or add a couple more grounds to be safe. I've seen breakup happen even with ignition amps only to realise it was insufficent grounds.

Got the grounds wired directly to the battery neg , didnt see any differance, checked all wiring , but still nothing
can a badly positioned CAS cause this ?
the car idles and rev`s fine , but i keep getting this shitty break-up around 8~10psi uugh , goddamn anoying

When you ground the engine, you ground it to the frame of the car, not the battery.

A bad wiring job can cause ignition breakup.

RF interference from the CAS wires can cause ignition breakup too.

Can you select the mode for the CAS pickup? I think tunnel mode is a good one, at least for Haltech.
