20B dowell

Hi all ,
My engine (13B) builder/racer friend just got his hands on a 20B for his race car . He just opened it up an found that one of the dowells is actually .003" smaller than the others ! anyone know why is this ? what if he replaces it with a normal sized one ? is there any real reason for this ?

I just used regular dowels instead of the machined down ones, based on the recommendation from Carlos from CLR...

The engine runs fine so for, only have about 100 miles on it though...
