I was just wondering. These didnt come stock did they? Also im assuming you have to get new ignition since the stock only has two spots on the leading and trailing. You can just get three rotors and rebuild them into a 20 b cant you? Where would you go about finding the eccentric shaft and driveshaft for something like that? Spit it out if you know anything helpful

20Bs came stock on all '93 2nd gens. These were only sold in Japan, but if you look hard enough, you can find them here. Mazda used a newly developed 20B with a tripple turbo system. Because of the large turbo lag, these 20Bs were fitted with electric superchargers to increase the low end. However, this system can cause problems due to the large drain on the alternator, so be sure to check with the buyer to make sure the alternator has been replaced every 20,000 miles per factory specs. If this is not true, then the superchargers may have seized in place. Expensive repair.
The easiest way to find the 20B 2nd gen is to look for the mention of the red interior in the add. All 20B 2nd gens had custom Italian red leather interiors and Momo steering wheels.
The 20B 2nd gen is rated by Mazda to put out the full Japanese legal limit of 276 HP. This was a problem since Mazda was coming out with the FD soon and didn't want another car to outperform it, so they only mae about 1500 20B '93 2nd gens. Most have since been scrapped or are in private collections. Good luck.

hahahaTo make a long explanation short...
20B's were only available in the Mazda Cosmo, which is a luxery car that was never for sale in North America.
The engine is awesome.
It is possible to make your own 20B with some parts, but you need an eccentric shaft custom made. There is a couple guys in the WORLD which will do this, but the cost to just have it made alone is as much as buing a complete 20B engine! The used 20B engine istself will cost about $2300-$4000 american depending where you source it.
You can put it in the second gen rx-7. It will cost you a pretty good chunk, about $12,000 - $30,000 depending on if you buy all parts new, if you get the engine rebuilt, if you are doing performance mods, and if someone is doing the work for you.
Like bud said, go to the 20B forum which is a sub-forum in the Rotary Performance section. Read every post. Use the search function. There's tones to know.
