20b 10th Anniversary done (well almost)

well its done,, or at least the hard stuff is done, and its
all back together, I have to get the custom made rad in
yet, its running to hot with what is in there, and there is
a couple more things I need to do to the electrical to
get it running 100%
is there anyone that knows what resistance values the
temp sensor for the trani has at normal running temp?
that's the sensor on the stat cover that has the large
connector on it...
The sensor that was on my motor was smashed, and 2
others that I looked at were broken in shipping
so I have no idea what values to fake to the computer
for this sensor.
I know this sensor is for the trani and keeps it from
going into overdrive until it is up to running temp, and
sure enough I am not getting over drive,,, I thought if
I just grounded it that should be close enough but it
seems that it wants an exact value grrr

forgot to say that I took it for a short test drive now
that everything is back together, it's going not bad,
in first gear it will really smoke the tires,,, you have
to do a bit of a brake stand to get the boost up then
get off the brake, it will then pull like mad spinning
for about 30 feet, then when it goes to shift to 2nd
the boost gets cut back, once shifted the boost comes
back and the real pull starts over I am sure it will
shift harder once I get it switched to power mode.
it looks like it is making about 9 lbs of boost in 1st,
and after the drop to make its shift, it only gets up to
about 5 lbs of boost,,, not sure if its supposed to do
this or not
more to come as finishing touches are done.

cool, mine is about 2 weeks behind yours. i cant find my 20b tstat cover, afaik the two are switches. one im 100% sure (its the same as a t2) is a fan switch its part # e301-18-840a the big spade terminal, its a 97c switch. the other i think (this is the one im not 100%) is a miata fan switch n350-18-840 and it also 97c. its a grey plastic top

mike you are correct ,,, the one is a fan sensor, it
has the spade terminal on it, and the other is for the auto trani,,
I wonder if its the same as the miata one you listed
even though its not a trani switch in the miata?
I just wanted to find out what the switch
switches to is it full continuity, or is there a resistance value
well I think I have figured out that it just switches to
ground,,, and I think I figured out why I don't have
overdrive,,, I found the selector switch to be out
of adjustment,,, if I play with the shift lever enough
I can get it to go to overdrive...

I also got it in to power mode
all I can say is wow!!!!!!! it pulls like mad to 7500
just on the edge of traction,,, then it hits 2nd and the
tires let loose,,, then it pulls to 7500 again hits 3rd
so fast, I bet it doesn't stay in 2nd for more
than 3 seconds..
To bad I cant drive it now
the rad is just not big enough! doesn't matter what I try
the temp slowly climbs to between 205 and 210.
as soon as I slow down it cools back off, hope I didn't
do any damage, it didn't boil and it did cool down quickly
after slowing down from 65mph to 35mph.
