2025 20B in FD3S Chassis Mounting Solutions (Subframe and Oil Pan)
Hi everyone,
I am getting to the point of mounting my 20b equipped with CD00A Transmission (Fisch Racing Tech Adapter) into my FD.
So far I am aware of the REC, Hinson, Defined, and Ronin (Builders Version) methods.
My goal is to push the engine and trans as far back as possible without any modification to the firewall.
Im curious to see what solutions you have come up with for subframe and oil pan to get this done.
So far I am leaning towards the Ronin (Builders Version) subframe but dont know if the factory oil pan will work.
Has anyone had experience with the JDL 20B oil pan or others?
I also plan on using the new Turblown 20B LIM.
I have the JDL pan and RPM subframe for my 20b swap along Fisch Racing CD00A transmission swap. It's moved back a few inches and looks like it could move back a few more inches, but the subframe would have to be modified because the pan would bump into the subframe if the motor was moved back more. The first picture is older with things still getting fabbed, but gives you an idea of the positioning, the other pictures are recent and shows how the motor sits in the engine bay currently.
