I'm contemplating getting these flares for my race beater. I've got a set of VW flares right now, but the bolt-on look is seriously hot and if I go through with my suspension plans this summer I'll need the fender clearance, which means it's time to start cutting!

Since the fold is being bent nearly 180*, and it's curved, one needs to tap around the entire cureve curve, moving the flange only 1/8-3/16" each full pass. Once the flange is horizontal, make sure the fold line is firm against the outer fender's cut edge. The trick is to bend the entire curve without winkleing it. Wrinkles means you've strched the metal and it will never lay as flat as it should. Don't really need the dolly until it's time to set the flange firm against the outer fender.
