Xenon Fibreglass air dam.
Xenon Fibreglass air dam.
Just picked this up tonight. I'm going to rivet it onto the car. I blocked it with 320, than went to hit it with a coat of shell white, and the can of paint I just bought didn't work. The nozzle is f'ed. So I'm going to bring that back to crap tire tomorrow for a refund. Puts me back a day. Should look pretty slick. I think it's for an SA, but I'll make it work.

gorgeous, any chance you could get it to go over the bumper skin? i think it would look better that way
p.s. any more pics of your car, i like your paint scheme and may need to steal it.

Yeah I know it's for an SA, but I made it work. Today I trimmed the bumper cover to fit, and filled in the holes that were in the bumper from the headlight sprayers, and there was a random hole from I don't know what. I just put a layer of fibreglass on the back side of the cover, than Bondo over the top. Just need to put the trim back on. Not the cleanest job, a few rivets here and there, but I'm happy.
This is what I cut off the bumper cover.

Holes I filled.

The trim will cover the seam, and the 3 rivets.

That's not the molding, I removed the molding. Thats the double sided tape that held the molding on. I left the tape on, cause it's a bitch to get off, and it will seal the air dam against the body, keep it from chaffing. Once I put the moldings back on you won't see it.
A little bit of ground effects knowledge. I love em, the lower the better. Never hit an elevation change head-on. Enter everything at an angle and your chances will be much better. I Had this same spoiler mounted to a 78 Mustang II , it fit lke it was made for it. The original owner had it removed from his 7 at the bodyshop I worked at because it hit everywhere. Looks good!
