www.mazdadiscountparts.com

Has anyone ever used www.mazdadiscountparts.com?

They got back to me with a quote on some oddball coolant hoses for my 13B. My local Mazda dealer couldn’t locate the hoses but they did try. I'm thinking about ordering the parts but figured I'd check them out first.

What do you guys think, thumbs up or thumbs down?

Thanks,

They messed up on my orders twice!..WRONG HOUSINGS, WRONG GASKETS!..TOOK ME 2 MONTHS TO GET ALL MY PARTS!..CHEAPER???..i dont know.. maybe..all i care about now is that i got all the parts i wanted....

PS... Make sure you give them PART #s because they dont know the anatomy of ROTARY. I had to use MAZDATRIX' part #s to order parts from them..SERVICE???>.they suck!

How do you find the Mazda part #s?
Are these listed in the Shop Manual?

My local dealer is an idiot! Must be because they sell mainly Fords and Lincolns there. The fool doesn't even carry a shop manual. How am I supposed to explain which part I need when they don't have a book to look it up. Do you have any idea how many Water sensors there are on an GSLSE, about 4???

I feel your pain.

So I've resorted to buying all of my parts directly from Mazdatrix. Although I confess that certain items are cheaper if I can find them first at Kragen.

It was, STAR Ford Lincoln Mercury (Mazda)
they may actually be worse than Galpin, but it wouldn't doubt your story.

HWY 2 is great! And so are Mulholland and HWY 1 Pacific Coast Highway along the beaches. I live in the S.G. Valley, so Mt. Wilson is sort of like my backdrop.

West Covina Lincoln just picked up the Mazda dealership flag and some very good parts counter people from the old Puente Hills Mazda dealership. Ask for Mary or RC, and you'll be good.

Separately, Racing Beat, Rotary Reliability, and Mazda Trix can get you dealer parts many times cheaper than you can directly.

I had a hard time locating the part number for an intake temp sensor. The dealer parts person doesn't use the same part name as the service manual so it was difficult. And, Mazda's parts computer doesn't list all the parts well I guess. The parts guy faxed me a bunch of pictures but none showed what I wanated. Luckily, the manager of the parts department has 8 Rx7s so when I spoke to him, he said "$71.72". I was like "excuse me?"

The other dealer quoted me $95 for the sensor and refused to give me a part number.

I often wonder why mazda doesn't have the part number on its service manual to make things easier. Also, a lot of parts don't have part numbers on them. I know this is normal among cars but it's a bad practice.
