Write-up on A/C removal?
Write-up on A/C removal?
Are there any places to find a write up on A/C removal (on a GSL-SE if that matters)?
I searched but just found general suggestions and no detailed instructions. I would like to keep my heater also...is this possible with ripping the compressor and all out?

It's easy.
Make sure you get the system drained properly by a shop so you don't blow CFC's into the atmosphere (unless it's already leaked out).
Then simply unbolt and unplug.
The only part you'll probably want to leave in is the evaporater coil in the dash. It requires removal of most of the dash to get to it so...
And yeah, it won't effect your heating at all.

unbolt lines from compressor
remove compressor
remove lines in engine bay
take off panel in front of radiator and remove condensor/drier-associated lines
reinstall panel
tadaaa...
also take off that huge *** compressor mount and the studs(spark plug removal knuckle busters)
