That's awesome how the door jamb stickers are in Japanese. I love the fact that our cars were actually made in Japan as well. Modern imports these days seem to be made locally or in Mexico. Kills the cool factor for me somehow.

Jeez guys - if it weren't for the steering wheel being on the wrong side and a rear seat, we'd all be calling this what it is - a mutt! In spite the seller's rant, its the bottom-of-the-food-chain Custom model, not a GT (no GT badge - or even a set of holes in the rear where it should be; bogus 2-spoke, stripper st. wheel) - and *gag* an automatic! And where was it stored? in a Lake? look at the rust repairs! Did he get it all?? yeeks! 10K miles? - or 110K? And I would love to know where the "lucky" new owner is going to find a dash pad to replace this one's!!
I think some dreamer is going to buy themselves into a real money-pit for the price of a really nice LHD RX7...

I owned one a few years ago. It was also bought by a marine serving overseas. A buddy with me used to do the "Look Mom, no hands" at people on the road and scare the crap out of them. It was a fun car.

You'll have more money in body repair(fixing the work thats there, filler, paint, ect). then the car's cost. Thats some haggered body work done by a "perfessional". yes it rare, but worth it? I agree with 7aull.

Bah, You call that rust? Pfft.

I think of rust as nothing but a challange, it IS fixable with the right people and tools. It really shouldnt factor into the purchase of a vehical you really like.

I've helped in the restoration of a 55 crown victoria. The thing sat outside in a field for almost 30 years. The entire thing WAS rust. Where is it now? Show room quality. If the guy wants one of the rare Rx7s, let em. Thats a very minor set of rust there in my oppinion. Besides, RHD are just plain neat.

The storage bin rust must be bad ***. I would say with that much rust it must have rolled over, or it was stored outside on grass or dirt and not garage kept. A few years back a friend had an SA with many miles and the rust was not as bad, it had also been exposed to salt for a portion of it's life.

There is a nice SA in Canada on trader.ca.

I thought that at first but mine has the same seats and from what I can see I think they would be worn far worse than they are if the mileage was over 100,000. My driver's seat is worn pretty badly.

I can see both sides of the "is it worth it" argument. On the one side, it definitely is not worth much more than the price it's at now from a purely financial point of view. But then again, how many of us have cars that ARE worth what we've put into them? Probably not many. This one has a huge cool factor, in my opinion. I'm watching it.

i wish i could find just one rim so that i can replace it with the bent one on my car. i didn't know the rims were all chrome. the car is fixable, but you have to have the time to fix it.
my rims were painted black with the lip left chrome like the look but they did a crappy job paintin them.
