would changing carb to a new one fix prob

would putting a new carb on car be better than fixing all the vacuum leaks and if so what would anyone recommend to be replacement without becoming a gas guzzler

From: Trying to convince some clown not to put a Holley 600 on his 12a.
You would have to remove and reinstall the carburetor.
It seems that you could more easily find and fix the vacuum leaks.
