i just bought a 83 base model did a full tune up on it and replaced some vacume lines on the rats nets. then i started it started right up but when i try to push on the gas or the throtle on the carb. i wont do any thing just stay's around 2000 rpm???????

 

Did it take throttle before you did all the work on it?

 

Most likely a vacuum leak.

 

the car wouldn't run due to the vac. leaks on the rats nest
