Won't run... again

I put another igniter in my car a couple of weeks ago and I have been driving it around. It's been doing great and I even decided to try and fix the surging, but then it happened. The engine is acting like it did before I replaced the other igniter. It will just turn over. It is getting plenty of fuel, but no spark and my coils are still good.

Is there any possible way that the same igniter can go out twice? And what causes igniters to go out? If it's not the igniter, what is it? Can I ever make my car dependable?

No spark on both sets of plugs? which igniter? Oh yeah, is your tach bouncing? How did you check for spark? Do an ohms test on the coils to be sure they are within tolerance. Also check to make sure to check your fusible links, one of them is there to protect your coils in case of an overload which could also cause the problem you are describing. One other thing, check your rotor to make sure it's still there....lol

My tach used too bounce before I replaced the coil last time. What causes that? I will check and make sure all the plugs are sparking tomorrow, but when they do spark my car starts real easy. The igniter I replaced is next to the alternator.

engine flooding. There are a couple of procedures to be done which can be found at rx7.com. But a push start/clutch pop always worked for me.

Haha....

I'm sorry, I'm just getting a quick laugh in here.

It just seems kinda funny that every question, in every post, about mechanical problems, seems to be answered by "It's flooded."

Poor gas soaked rotary engines. Forgive us, as we know not what we do.
