Exclamation Wiring for Electronic Fuel Pump

Ok, i keep burning up fuel pumps in my '84 gsl. Now ive bought a nice MSD electronic fuel pump, and i dont wanna burn it up. Can somebody explain to me how to run new power back to the pump straight from the battery. Also, i wanna put in a fuel cut-off switch. Any help is much appreciated

(To the tune of "The hip bone's connected...)

The battery's connected to a fuse holder
The fuse holder's connected to a red wire
The red wire's connected to the fuel pump positive
Fuel pump negative to a black wire
The black wire's connected to a relay (teminal 30)
The relay (terminal 87) is connected to black wire
The black wire's grounded on your chassis

And that's one side of the circuit

A switched 12v (like your current fuel pump power) is connected to the relay (terminal 85)
The relay (terminal 86) is connected to a small switch
The small switch is connected to ground

And now you have a fuel pump circuit that is switchable and shuts off when the car is off.

Bump Bah
