wires and crap

edit: its an 85 GS

hey, i just took the whole wire harness apart pretty much, well atleast the part where the emmison clips run to, anyway i noticed that theres a sensor coming outa the passenger side of the carb, that has a black and red wire, now i have a clip that has a white and red, and a red and black wire attached to it, but the red and black wire lead to a green plug, so basicly that wire is usless im wondering if that whole clip is usless or what ? im trying to get ride of as much of the wires as i can. so far so good.

and just outa curiousity whats the little wire that goes just under the behive oil cooler ? it bolts into the mid houseing or something it looks like i cant remmeber exactly.

excuse the typos and spelling im in a rush and my fingers are black haha

thanks in advance

also whats the black and yellow, and green and black wire that have opposite clips that were cliped togeather... they come outa the harness right beside the carb. and they were plugged togeather... to me this seems wrong, cuz why have a whole length of 2 wires to plug into the eachother when it could be done back on the circuit board, or somewhere near the start of the harness and hardwired too.
