Can someone tell me what the following wire is underneath the dash of a '85 12A. It is a single black wire with yellow stripe with a white connector connected to a black connector with a single black wire with a red stripe. Thanks.

I find it odd that the connector and wire color are different. Where does each end trace back too?

Yeah, specifically where under the dash, and/or a pic would help.

 

Plugs of different colors do not plug in to each other in the stock configuration. If you look at all the plugs on the wiring diagram, there is no plug that has BY wire plugged into a BR wire. More info?
