wire color!

ok guys i need a little help...

i rebuilt and modified my carb and in doing so i eliminated all the wiring for the carb off the harness. long story short i need to change out the carb and need the hook those wire back up for the time being.

if your standing on the pass. side on the car looking into the engine bay at the carb the is an electrical connection. there are 2 wires red/black coming off of it. i need to know what 2 wires come off the harness to connect to it! pics would be great.

hmm strange... i was looking at all the info on what i did to my carb and noticed a few things. when i rebuilt my carb i deleted everything except for the fuel connections, however i've been having issues with my car ever sense i did so. at first i had an issue of idling at 5000rmps and fixed it by eliminating the soleniod on the driver side white/black wire after doing so it idle at around 1500 no lower and i was getting 6mpg and no matter what i did you could not change the idle!!!! i could take out the air mixture screw and nothing would happen. i finally took it back apart and took the accelerator pump (AP) back apart and put it back together. my mpg increased a good amount, but still idles anywhere from 700-1700.... but now it goes do die at first when i push the peddle so i'm having accelerator pump issues. i checked it out and when i open the throttle gas dribbles in from the AP and i'm pretty sure it should spray in.

i looked at everything other people have done with their carbs and i did the exact same things, but with bad outcome. i know i just posted needing help to hook the richer soleniod back up, but everyone is saying to leav it unplugged so what is the right thing to do? this is my daily at the moment and it sucks *** to drive right now!!!!!!!!!!!1

Download the FSM for your model/year, and study it. I believe they are still available at foxed.ca

The solenoid on the drivers side of the carb is the float bowl vent, you will want that one installed, and fed with +12v any time the key is on IIRC.
