Hey everyone, I just picked up a 1983 RX-7 and the driver side window stopped working. It won't roll down, only up. I took off the door panel and tested the wire to the motor. It seems that the switch is ok, and the wiring. I took out the motor and tried it by itself. The gear spun only when you hit the switch up. So now that I know that the problem is the motor, I was wondering if it is fixable. If not, where can I get one for pretty cheap? I can order one locally for about $115.

Nah, just get a couple from the junkyard.

 

I fixed it, I don't know why the signal light lit up when I hit the switch up and down, but I replaced the switch for the window anyway and it works now. Thanks for the reply.
