Lightbulb will it work

what if you had a street port in your primarys and a bridge port in your secondaries would it work and still be streeable? only when you hit the gas is when the secondaries you would already be moving.

Do a search for half bridgeport. Theres alot of info and opinions on this all over the forum. You should find what you need.

The secondary ports would not have to be streetable if you have a four barrel carb, you would be able to stop at a stop sign and idle low still because they would not be open and when you take off you would get more power.

you're talking about the 5th and 6th ports as secondaries? that would probably catch the corner seal. you might be able to streetport the secondaries, and not loose anything down low.

It is called a half bridge and the main reason to do this besides the power benefits is to use the steel apex seals. You turn the seals around backwards so the side seal of the apex is on the street port side and wont fall throught the port of the bridge port.

so really what shetlen is describing is an auxilary bridge port....right? Well from what i've heard, the gains are about the same as good streetport and they have the same streetability...but the streetport is obviously more reliable

thats all from memory though so correct me if im wrong

edit: how about i correct myself! That should be lemonade talking about the aux. bridge with the 5th and 6th ports, not shetlen, sorry!
