Will this wheel tire combo work on my SE?
I am getting a set of wheels that measure 15x6.5 Offset=40mm .. I plan to run 205/50/15 size tires..Will this work well on the SE or should I also get 5mm spacers all around??

SE's often use 35-40 offset for a 7" wheel. You may need the spacers for a 6.5" wheel with that much offset.
I am not sure what the best offset would be for a 6.5" wheel on an SE.

Actually, I think you will be better off with 6.5...it will extend toward the inside less than a 7" with the same offset (by 1/4"). I just started this yesterday...maybe it will help:
