will FD seats fit in a first gen?

I'm looking to replace the seats in my FD with some recaros and am wondering whether or notthere is a way to put my stockers into my first gen (since my first gen seats are all torn up). Anyone know if this can be done or has anyone done it before? Any pictures?

How many times has this been brought up ... loads

yes it can be done. Its nearly the same as fitting any aftermarket seats. you need to adapt the FD seat to fit the FB rails using some metal stock. The RHS seat will probably need to be fixed in position due to the nasty bump in the floor for the exhaust.

A search should reveal a huge thread with pictures and alsorts of usefull info.

i have had some fd seats in my first gen for around a year now... love them... it does not take that much work to do. you just have to make some extensions to bolt the first gen rails to the seats, and then to the floor...
