Those rearend are wider, and if I remeber right the 93 cobra is 3/4" wider on each side. Same goes for the 87-88 thunderbird turbocoupes. And the newer mustang 8.8's are if I remeber correctly 1.5" wider on each side.
I will try and find the site that shows you how to do lincoln 11" disks with mustang axles. I lost all my links in a hard computer crash
But I had this setup on the back of my mustang and it worked great. Easy to find and cheap replacement parts with the lincoln setup also.
The 93 cobra and 87-88 tbird used rear calipers specific to those two cars. So finding cores can be a pain. And there design kinda sucked and the calipers would bind up.

I will try and find the link and post it up later tonight.

Thanks. I read the Tbird ones were .75 in wider on each side. I am going widebody, so it really doesn't matter. I just want "regular" disc brakes, and not something custom for the rear.

Eh..Maybe I just have them machined to fit the stock Mazda ones..??

It wouldn't be hard to get the mazda stuff to work, and with as much hp as your making an d will be making you might want to get some 31 or more spline axles. And if your mostly going to be drag racing some c-clip eliminators wouldn't be a bad idea. And I think when you get into the 10's they will be required. So when you would order axles you can just tell them the size of the flange you need and the bolt pattern.
I started to use the mazda stuff, but the rotors wouldn't fit the axle flange. I wasn't going to pay money to have stock axles turned down at a machine shop, and I didn't feel like doing that much grinding.
