Wierd Problem - Can someone assist?

I have a '81 RX-7 with 88,000 original miles. Recently had all the idiot lights come on after starting up from winter's nap. Checked under hood and alternator fan belt was broke. Replaced fan belt and the lights went out went started. Drove to fuel and check air in tires. Upon starting again, all idiot lights again came on and stayed lit. Checked the fan belts ... all OK. Oil pressure gauge shows pressure, charge gauge shows charge occurring, temp guage indicates normal, yet all idiot lights still on (even the stop light indicator!) Where do I start looking to repair? Car starts great. runs normal, but indicator lights all red. I also have some surging during deceleration. Any ideas? Thanks. BTW... first time post.

I had this a couple of times.... Take the alternator down and have it tested.

I found this out because the alternator had a short and my battery would be dead the next morning. I charged up the battery and started the car. All the indicator lights stayed on..... The next morning the battery was dead again.
Re-charged the battery again, and tested the system for electrical draw.... BINGO bad alternator.

Always test, do not be a parts changer....

You guys are right on. It was a B.O. alternator. Thanks!
