wierd noise on turn

Question. When I take turns without using my brakes there no noise, but sometimes if I take a turn hitting my brakes I get this "grrr" sound. Don't no how to describe it. I thought It mighta been my u-joints so I changed emm but still does it. Looking for any ideas on what it could be. It sucks when you pull into a parking lot and turn into the park spot and you get the "grrr" embarrassing in such a sweet car.

Not sure about the sound. For the airbox though, that hose would lead to the shutter valve. If it goes bad it will mess with idle and return back to idle very slowly. When you plug it, it will fix the problem. They are worthless imo anyway.

hello,

Do you have rear disc brakes?
if so, you should check the calipers rubber boots and pad slides for dryness/corrosion, im guessing your calipers are dry or were rebuilt not using high temp brake grease. I have used high temp lithium grease (axle or bearing grease) and experienced the chalk board grind/howl/etc during low speed turning after braking. Reason? pad doesn't want to return away from the disc, comes in disharmonic contact, squeal or howling squeal, the grease goes bye bye, its for use in lubricating a closed unit.

If you have rear drums then I do not know what your talking about!

They are worthless.

Does the "grrr" sound happen in straightline braking as well or just turning?
Can you feel anything through the brake pedal?
Is there any vibration in the driveline?

I had a noise like the op. Haven't had it for awhile though.

You're saying the problem is inside the caliper itself though? Can you clarify for the op and me please. Just don't understand what you mean.

Brake caliper bracket slide, and were the pads seat on the caliper (the basic grease points). Use wrong grease, or get corrosion and the brackets wont move properly causing the pad to rub on the disc face in a chalkboard squealish howl aweful sound.. makes people look at you like your car took a crap when you turned into the parking lot. hhhhooooowwwwnnnnn eek sound.

Hmm no it does not make the noise when braking in straight lines only some turns. Ill look at my rotors one day here going camping tomorow so won't have time. But I plan on changing my brake pad things next pay check as when braking it does make a little noise, just the sound that new ones are needed. It is disc brakes all around to awnser that question.I don't remeber if I feel it. Ima watch/feel for that next time.

Also thank you on telling what it was in the pic.

Ok, makes sense. I've had the same problem as brayden, but hasn't done it lately. I'll check it out when I do the brakes, which is pretty soon thanks for the advice.
