Widebody Kit Were to buy

So i have been looking at fender flares for my 500hp ford 8.8 build and was gonna just end up doing the ZG flares. In my searching i found this body kit that i have never seen before surprisingly. Andd well lets just say im in love and need to have it. Is there anywhere that makes a rep of it or produces it at all any more???

I don't think that's a Mariah kit. It's significantly different. The fender flares all bolt on with exposed fasteners and transition smoothly into the sills. The chin spoiler maintains the OEM '81-'85 front fascia.

I definitely prefer the bolt-on version. Whenever composite parts are bonded to steel, cracks are likely to eventually develop. With a bolt-on installation, this problem is avoided.

I think this is the best looking setup I've seen for a 1st gen. I'd like to see it fully painted, with the car sitting at ride height. I'm definitely interested.

The best chance you have is to call JDM Legends and beg for a lead, they had the kit brought over from Japan and said it was incredibly hard to source, the rear wing is from Mariah.

Yeah, good luck finding info on that one. Really hope you can find it, and if you do, let us know!!! Better have a build thread.

Gorgeous car they made.

IF YOU BUILD IT, WE WILL COME: JDM LEGENDS RX-7 - Speedhunters

That is the Japanese version of the Group C kit you see on a bunch of AUS cars. The JAP flares are a little wider it seems.

JDM Ledges got the flares and air dam from p40p0, and the wing is from Mariah.

p40p0 sells the flares for just under $400 give or take exchange rates. He seems to not have any listed at the moment.

You are just like me my friend. This was tied for first as my favourite widebody, I ended up with my other choice. However I was trying to source this kit for a while, and I was speaking to SelectMaz when I found that they made the kit.. Check them out. Hopefully they still make it

That is one badass kit! And like you said elwood, having it bolt on is such a nice feature versus doing all that bonding fiberglass to steel work. Would be a sick looking ride when finished, props on the find!

I just sent selectmaz a enquiry. When i find a source for this kit i will make sure to post up. So much better looking than any fender flares and it doesent seem that hard to make in comparison to normal flares as well. Thanks for all the replies guys.

That body kit is a IMSA widebody originally for the '78-'80 SA rx7's. It was purchased off of Yahoo Japan auctions.
The kit was modified slightly to fit around the fb style front bumper.
On their blog he was complaining how the kit didn't fit and he was forced to modify it. -_-
That Rx7 is the shop car for JDM Legends. The owner used to work for Rotary Performance in Garland Tx.

Gods i love how this kit looks it really looks amazing painted. Select maz said the company they used to get them from went out of buisness years ago. So there a bust. Looks like im gonna have to either learn japanese or get some of my military friends in japan to source one for me. Too bad they know nothing about cars lol.

Just talked with my buddy in japan. He is going to do some research and see if he can locate a full kit or at least the molds. We will see what happens after that.
