Wideband o2 sensor wire routing

Guys with wideband o2 sensors, where/how did you route the sensor wire to the A/F gauge? I've got my sensor (AEM UEGO) just aft of the header collector facing slightly toward the driver's side. Looking to mount the sensor in the S3 ash tray spot. Should I get out the drill or is there an easy spot to get that big harness through? This is an '85 GSL. Thanks.

i had my o2 senser just after the turbo( what would be mid header) and it kept burning out the senser.

i now have it located just be for where the main cat would be, i drilled a hole in the tunnel about where the pasengers shin is and droped the o2 senser down that way, mounted it with a heat sink and have ben good ever sence.

couple ideas. if you have no AC, you could use one of the holes in the firewall. there are also rubber plugs in the floor too.

On my '83, there's a hole in the firewall for some wires, just below the glove compartment. That's where I routed mine through. However, my harness didn't have a connector on it, so that may not be possible for you. And S3s might be different anyway.

My sa had a hole like PercentSevenc's so I did not have to drill a hole, I ran my o2 and EGT through the same hole.

Thanks for all the replies. I found the rubber plugs and that may be an option. The firewall would be my first choice although I'd rather not cut the harness unless I have to. All the wiring access holes are pretty small. The A/C has mostly been removed but I never was able to get that one hose out. Maybe now's a good time to try again.
