why not to let your battery die...
So, I pulled a bone head move, and in putting the car away for the winter ended up draining the battery. Car wouldn't even engage the starter motor. So I get a set of jumper cables, and start charging the battery. After about 45 minutes of trying (and most likely seriously flooding the engine) it finally starts to catch. I get it to start, and it runs majorly rough and enough white smoke comes out the exhaust to find every little leak. A PLUME about 4 feet high comes wafting out from under, and behind the car, and the entire passanger side of the engine bay looks like it's got a fog machine going in it. Thankfully the wind took care of the smoke, and once the car heated up it started to behave.
I guess that's a testament to why running MMO as premix might save you alot of trouble. I bet I dumped a good pint of fuel through the exhaust system once the beast started.
Long story short, don't kill yer battery
thought I'd share

Never satisfied RX-7 owner,
awaiting delivery of 03 RX-8.
(which I will prolly mod as well)
