1979 Mazda rx-7 Top was cut off, the doors were welded shut, engine and
smog stuff is all there. It could use a new shortblock. Smokes on start-up
sometimes. Always passes smog test with low numbers.
top mechanism is all custom. 15" speaker & 300 watt amp. CD radio.
Mechanics and tinkers only.

I swear it has to be a joke.. The hood and interior are hella ugly. And everytime I look at the dash it looks like there's a metal sink where the gauges should be.

Makes it look like an older MG or Triumph or something. Not sure about the whole 'no door' thing. You'd have to pull a Dukes of Hazard everytime you wanted to get in the car.

 

for real.. and your bound to **** up at somepoint and just look like a dumbass. That'd be pretty funny to see: some guy tryin to hop into his car.. almost makes it in,but then then clips his feet on the top of the door.. heads face first into the car( better hope he moved the shifter or damn that hurt.. I'm not sure if you're qualified to talk about 'deserving a FB' when you risk your life and the lives of others drifting on public roads.

Hmmm...I'm having trouble making the connection. I agree that drifting on public roads is dangerous and not very smart (actually, I think drifting itself is a little dumb, but that's another story), but how does that relate to stating that an FB (actually an SA) doesn't deserve to be hacked up that way?

As stupid as that thing is you could actually take that ridiculas top thing off, strip it down to make it as light as possible and make an awsome autocrosser out of it, without the top and glass in it the center of gravity would be very low and with the doors welded shut you could lose alot of weight from door and glass mechanisms!!

Just a thought.

so wait, the tops from a boat? atleast thats what i got from it... I do agree with the autox statement, if you removed that ugly s%#@ off the top, itd look kinda cool and have a really low center of gravity. Then all youd need to do is gut the interior

 

Guys I think flaming riza on more then one thread is a little over the top. If you wanna say something about his drifting exploits find that thread and give your .o2 there. This is completely different subject...I don't know the guys personally but I can't stand it when people go ape **** flaming someone for acting their age. Oh and as for this car....its terrible what some people do to awesome cars these days.
