Who said twin seq turbo 13b-RE wont fit a FB is full of it :)
Ok I have been up for almost 49 hours straight so if Im a little incoherent then its either lack of sleep or the 2 1/2 cases of beer I have drank.. Anyways, someone told me a twin turbo wont fit a FB. Well guess what it does and with PLENTY of room, probally can still remove the turbos with the motor installed
Now what i did was convert the turbos to non seq, I removed the seq actautor at the bottom, I also removed the pre control actuator (middle one) the one I left was the waste gate of course.. Have to fab some sort of a controller via two vacuum sources etc.. On the turbos outlets Y pipe they hit the FB water pump housing so i either have to use a FC one, or modify the thermostat housing by redrilling the bolt holes a few degress in the oposite direction... probally gonna use a FC one cause #1 its easier and #2 the serpentine pulleys wont fit a 12A water pump housing.. Anyways, on the charge relief valves (BOV) on the turbos outlet pipe you just T the two vacuum lines and go to the lower manifold for them...Remove the butterflie valve etc from it too.. Lets see what else, I also made a new engine mount from scratch. but Im gonna remake it, i wanna move the motor down maybe another 3/4"...
Ok Im drunk and its bed time, heres the pics

If so, it is in?
Did you move forward 3/4 of an inch or backward?
You had to do it because you didn't have an SE enginemount/crossmember?
If so, Could you have just re-slotted/drilled the the 12A crossmember to fit a 13B?
Or was this all because you used the Twins?
Since I am going for a single, will I have that problem?
Thanks, go to sleep, and write back later
I am sure you are tired.
By the way - I found this 13B Turbo Stainless Steel Turbo Manifold
If you decide to go single later..

Looks really good.. Not sure about you moving it either. Did you have to, to make it fit? you said you maid your own motor mounts?? but then used the SE crossmember??
Little more detail after your nap please

I moved the whole engine and transmission 3/4" towards the front of the car... I wanted it in the same spot as the old one. If you measure a 13b and a 12A its almost 3/4" longer... Although the front cover seems to 'look' deeper , so dunno for sure. The major thing I noticed was the motor gets pretty close to the heater hoses in the back. (Another reason of moving it all forward) I wanna make it go downward maybe a 1/2 to 3/4" not sure how much cause I dont want the oil pan hitting the suspension components... The thing that sucks is that this was only a 'mock-up' I have to turn right back around and take it out. But I know where im headed as far as making a new mount. (By the way 90 something dollars Mazdatrix charges for a 12A->13B mount is WELL WORTH IT, I suck in the fabrication department) Must admit I do like the welder and the cutting torch Oh well Im not going anywhere near the garage for the whole weekend I got my 4 year old this weekend.. Oh by the way yes Im using the T2 tranny, dunno what Im gonna do for a mount, I just got a block of wood and a jack under it now, theres some more custom work for the mount looks to off a little.
At Zach I made my own mount at the bottom of the motor to the crossmember I USED A GSL-SE front cover... Everything else is all the orginal 12A stuff. By the way only real reason I moved it all at first was cause everyone said you had to. The way the shifter lines up in the tunnel, it 'looks' that 3/4" wouldnt be that bad. But 3/4" is ton of difference when you are talking about something either fitting or not fitting
Laterz Im off to work

Yeah looks like its gonna work pretty good, wonder If I can use Hi temp silicone hose for the oil line from the front cover to the turbo? Anyone know?
This green silcone hose is that bad *** **** that dude showed me a Big River Rubber & Gasket, he took a propane torch to a piece of it and held it there like 5 seconds, didnt burn through it. All it did was blacken it a little. I was impressed to say the least...
By the way I mocked up the gas pedal cable to the motor looks like it will fit fine with a couple of mods, and if you wanna keep the cruise It fits the cable too
@Felix BTW is the dizzy I gave you OK, been sitting around a while, but stayed in a box outta the weather and stuff
@directfreak You CANT slot the orginal mount, if you slot is 3/4" you will be at the very tip of mount and truefully speaking I dunno if Id want my motor mounted like that might be a little dangerous... All I did was copy the mount like the factory, but made the pieces that stick out (where the bolts go to the crossmember) longer than they were previously. BTW you make the side things on the mount stick out too much then they hit the front cover on the motor ...
