Who knows???
Anybody know if an 85 GSL-SE had 2 keys or just one? Mine came with 2 (1 for the ignition and 1 for everything else). I seem to remember my old RX-7 only had one key for everything, but I could be wrong...and it was an 83 GSL.
Looks like someone replaced the ignition lock cylinder. You could take it out and take it to a locksmith, and he can rekey the cylinder to fit the key for everything else.

My totally original 55,000 mile -se came with 2 keys with the plastic heads. Each key open everything from glovebox to storage bins.
I think lovintha7 is right - somebody changed the ignition.

The 2nd gens came with 2 keys. The extra key was a valet key that would not open the glove box, but fit everything else. I don't think it was an option for the 1st gens.
I was told by the stealership when I called about getting keys cut for my 83 GSL, that they were sold with THREE keys. Two master keys which opened everything, and one valet key that only worked the doors and the ignition. The guy I talked to actually owned a first get at the time of me talking to him too, I thought that was kinda cool.
