I was doing a brake job, Well I have one of my buddys come over to help pump the brakes, while I watched the fluid coming out of the Speed Bleeders. Lets just say he isnt car inclined

So I tell him to turn on the key so he can turn the wheel as I am lying there on the ground, waiting to get the the bleeder. Well I yell to him to hurry up its hot out here. Hes yells back well Im turning it and it keeps spining, so I think oh great there goes my ignition switch, But no, he just broke the key off and kept turning the black part.

How he didnt know, is beyond me. Of course I yelled at him to get out that the rotor gods must hate him lol.

you can still get them from the dealer, just ask them to order an orgiional key, they're like $15.

my '83 had an orig. key, but my GSL-SE didn't.

I don't have the original keys, nor do I even have the original ignition.

I DO have the original ignition key for my old 1991 RX-7 that I sold...and I use it to crank the 84, it's the only key I have that works.

I still have all FOUR original keys

That's right, FOUR!

Two main keys, and two fuel door keys. I was showing off how to open up my fuel door to my girlfriend and she thought all the keys and gimmicks were cool.

I still have my original key, it has the key code numbering on it. Dealerships still carry the black head keys with Mazda stamped on it for like 8 bucks last time checked.
