14.56 seconds

Stockported with modified [enlarged venturies and rejetted]Nikki with mechanical linkage to the secondaries, flowed manifolds with plenum secondaries, K&N filter, equal length 2-1 header and 2 1/8" sports exhaust, heavy pressure clutch, upgraded ignition wires, timing 24, no airpump or AC, Dunlop W10 tires on Enkei alloy wheels, dyno tuned to get the AF ratio optimal. Interior stock.

Produces about 123-125 rwhp.

4 and a half minutes? Once you get it rolling it's pretty easy!

I'll call mine (sans engine) at 2 minutes 45 seconds.

pratch- when at college pushing a car 1/4 mile was a standard fun day event. You were allowed a crew of 8 and a ***. From memory our target was 1 min 30 seconds in a MiniCooper. With a 5 speed box you should be faster!

To me the handling is just as important as power for a quick car, the suspension modifications are:-
KYB high performance shocks they are better than the previous Koni
Upgraded coils, lowered 30mm and 140/110 rating
Stiffer front swaybar
Poly bushes all round
Upgraded brake pads

Hey Brad, you definately want to look into tuning your setup. I only have a 13B 4 port S/P and 1 1/2yrs ago I hit 181HP on the dyno... with no tuning!

I'm confident that with proper tuning I should hit 200HP.

RED is fastest, it must be because the police pick them up for speeding more often.

Engine builder said to expect another 30hp once it's tuned good. And if EVERYthing is running tip top and if I had an IDA instead of dellorto, even more. 265 at the fly is attainable with my motor.

FYI A friend with an EP 13b 6 port and weber 48 dcoe with 38mm chokes put 186 at the wheels.

I think the HP you guys are giving out on ported engines needs someone to tune it right,

I personally think your numbers are to low,I hoep im not expecting to much.

Once I get some milage on the engine,I willahve it jetted and tuned right.

hmm.... it's taken mine four years for someone to finally get it 1m forward onto ramps.....

1m/year.... I'd say probably 55 years to the quarter mile.... lol

Goal is to get it at least to 14s on stock.... rebuild nikki, replace exhaust, remove ratsnest.... and about as much more as I can get... Fuel regulator and a powerful pump perhaps? :P
