Who builds good short blocks?
I'm looking for a fresh built 13B 4-port, street ported motor. I do not have a (13B) core. I see lots and lots of shops across the country selling motors, but I have no idea who makes good motors and who is good for the money. My brother in law keeps referring me to a rotary shop near us (Siguel Racing in Allentown). Says the guy is famous from Puerto Rico and Florida, and just moved up here last winter. Says all the PR bracket racers are lining up at his door. BUT, my bro-in-law does body work for Siguel, and says he is waaaaaaay behind and having personal problems. Like 6 months to get a motor built problems. I just went through 7 months of agony with Granny's, so I'm not looking for any more BS. I'm looking for a shop with a good rep that will give me a decent price and stand behind their product. Any suggestions?
Don't know anyone on the E. coast, which presume is your preference.
On the West, Atkins, Pineappleracing (personal fav and experience) and Mazdatrix all have great reps...

try Advanced Rotary Performance (NJ), IR Performance (NJ) and Defined Autoworks (OH). i don't know what their policies are about cores, but all are capable, professional and definitely worth a phone call.
