Every time I cold start my '83, white smoke comes out of the pipe. After about 3 to 5 of running it will eventually go away. I had an '81 that never did this.

Is this normal? Does it have something to do with the oil metering valve? Maybe pumping too much oil in the chamber?

I'm running stock exhaust and emissions intact.

 

Mine does it, but that's cause I'm premixing. Maybe the OMP is pumping too much oil into the chamber.
