Just wanted to make sure you knew.

Blue smoke = oil
White smoke = water/coolant

yea but when its water or coolant it smells sweet when it burns. and frankly it smells like oil. I accidentally put some of the atf in the secondaries instead of just the primarys and they didn't open for like 3 days but now they open since i took out the spring. the thing is that if i blew an oil seal wouldn't i be losing compression therefore i'd be losing power also. a but the thing is still a bat outta hell. i don't get it i'm baffeled for the first time in myautomotive history.... do you think i could've just fudged up my carb and the oil injection or what ever its called is just dumping in too much fuel and oil??? i'm gonna pull my plugs and see how they look...

When I ATF'ed my engine, it took weeks before the white smoke (yes, ATF and oil can produce white smoke) went away. The problem with my car was that most of the ATF went out into the exhaust, where it sat and burned. This caused all the smoke.

I doubt that you blew an oil seal. Allow the ATF to be flushed out of the engine and exhaust and you should be fine.

My bridgeport puffs a little grayish smoke at start up. Ofcourse it started doing that everytime after I converted to pre-mix. Also, if flooring it, it will make a mild haze I'm told by someone who followed me once, also mentioned it smells like a snowmobile. I figured the intial start up it may have something to do that the float bowl evaperating some fuel and then the concentration of gas:to:oil is greater momentarily till the carb gets some fresh gas pumped since I never had any puffs before the pre-mix mod.

Just like 85RX7GS said, it's down in your exhaust and when you heat it up it starts to burn off. probably caught up in your cat or presilencer.

Have you inspected your Oil Metering Pump (OMP) lately? Perhaps it's stuck wide open and pumping more oil than you need into your engine. I have heard that this can happen. Ya might wanna check that.

BTW, normal oil consumption should be about 1 quart every 2000 to 3000 miles.
