i dont see why not, seriously if you have a welder and a grinder and are mechanically competent anything can work..

When we put the racing beat lowering kit on blue, I saved the tops that we had to cut off.
And made my own. you can really tell it works. Because now it has a small bow to it.

Is that resting on top of the Alt? Looks mighty close.

I have the CP Racing one and it works well, especially the price. Ive had two frinds that purchased the firewall mounted ones and eventually cut that part off and just have the 2 point one like mine.

I have the CP 4 point bar, and I love it. Bolted right up

The worst part was that I had to move the little VIN plate that's screwed into the firewall, lol...

Felt much more rigid with it installed. And they're cheap...

Oh, and although I can't reccomend trying it out, they do a great job of protecting the engine in an accident.

www.Rotorhead.ca used to sell them, had the 2 point and 4 point bars, and the price was pretty good somewhere in the ~$150 range. I havn't seen them in the catalogue this past month, you should email him and see if he has anymore lying around.

Those are the CP Racing bars. Rotorhead disributed them online before CP got their website. You can get them at www.cpracing.ca for the same prices as they were or Rotorhead

the 4 holes that mount on the strut caps, i was told (and ive seen pics of this on a gsl-se) that you just have to drill those 4 holes on each side a little bigger and it will fit perfectly on an fb..

I DID IT!!! after reading your post gregs i went on ebay and bought this exact strut bar from this company (20 bucks with shipping..WOO HOO!!)..anyways yeah your absolutely right ...i used my dremel to make the holes a little bigger and it fit perfectly!!! Its a tad close to the alternator but it does clear it (barley ..maybe by an 1/8th of an inch..but it clears it)...so yes this strut does fit on the FB with little moddification..and i felt an instant difference...steering is a lot more resposive..even though its an el cheapo strut bar!!!

You should make a how to guide on this, how to use a Fc strut bar. Post pics asap.

The bar has a bow ( a radius bend ) in it. This is an indication of movement, which is an indication that it works.

I highly doubt that there is enough flex to cause a permanent bent or bow in the tower brace. However if it was bowed it is not an indication that it works, its an indication that the brace is not strong enough to withstand the flex.
